The Texas Real Estate Commission and the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board will have their online services temporarily unavailable on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The disruption is due to a planned power outage at the Stephen F. Austin Building, which houses both agencies. The outage is scheduled to last from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time.
The Texas Real Estate Commission has announced that the updated Information About Brokerage Services (IABS 1-2) form is now required for use as of January 1, 2026.
Recent changes to The Real Estate License Act (TRELA) in Texas will require written agreements for buyer representation starting January 1, 2026.
