Registration is now available for the Texas Real Estate Commission’s (TREC) Legal Update I and II Instructor Training sessions. The in-person training events will be held in various cities throughout Texas for instructors planning to teach the 2026–2027 Legal Update I and II courses.

TREC requires instructors who wish to remain eligible to teach these state-mandated courses to complete the updated training. According to TREC, “This training is essential for any instructor who wants to remain eligible to teach these statutorily mandated courses. Only those who have successfully completed the updated training will be qualified to deliver Legal Update I and II content to TREC license holders.”

Prospective attendees can register for a session, review trainer biographies, see photos from previous trainings, and learn more about what the sessions involve by visiting https://registrations.trec.texas.gov/.

Space at these sessions is limited, and demand is typically high. TREC advises instructors intending to participate in the upcoming renewal cycle not to delay registration: “If you’re planning to teach Legal Update I and II in the next renewal cycle, don’t wait—secure your spot today!”
