Texas Real Estate Commission opens applications for inspector and education advisory committees

Applications are now open for individuals interested in serving on two Texas Real Estate Commission committees in 2026. The application window closes on August 22, 2025, and those selected will be announced at the November TREC meeting.

The Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee is seeking applicants to fill two inspector seats and two public member seats. The committee plays a role in overseeing matters related to real estate inspection standards within the state.

Additionally, the Education Standards Advisory Committee is accepting applications for several positions. These include two instructor or owner roles, three real estate license holder positions, and one public member seat. This committee provides input on educational standards for those involved in Texas real estate transactions.

Those interested in participating can submit their applications through the appropriate channels before the deadline.
