For the third consecutive year, Texas has been recognized as having the top business climate in the United States by Site Selection magazine. Governor Greg Abbott commented on the achievement, stating, “Texas once again emerges as the national champion for the top business climate in America. As the eighth-largest economy in the world, Texas offers the freedom and opportunity for companies of all sizes and all industries to thrive. Coupled with the pro-growth, pro-business laws I signed this year, Texas improved the process of doing business to help them succeed in our great state. We will continue to make strategic investments and partner with job-creating businesses to ensure that Texas remains the top state in the nation to do business.”

The state’s high ranking is attributed to several factors including an increase in corporate relocations and expansions that create jobs, a favorable environment for enterprise growth, ongoing investments in workforce development and infrastructure, access to technology and skilled workers, and a stable regulatory system.

Site Selection’s evaluation also includes input from corporate real estate executives and site selectors. In these surveys, Texas received higher ratings than any other state.

Earlier this year, Governor Abbott accepted Site Selection magazine’s Governor’s Cup on behalf of Texas for a record 13th straight time as recognition of being the leading state for job-creating relocations and expansions. The state was also awarded Site Selection’s 2025 Prosperity Cup for its success in attracting new business investment.
