The Texas Education Agency has released its 2025 Annual Report, which provides an overview of the current state of public education in Texas. The report covers both achievements and ongoing challenges faced by the more than 5.5 million students and their teachers in the state’s public schools.
Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath stated, “Every day, educators, families and communities across Texas are working together to help students succeed. This year’s Annual Report reflects that shared commitment and highlights the progress we are making to improve student achievement, support teachers and expand educational opportunities so that every Texas student, no matter their background, can reach their full potential.”
The annual publication is intended as a resource for policymakers, educators, families, community members, and media. It details statewide education trends and explains how the agency is supporting schools to strengthen outcomes for students. The report also includes key performance data and identifies areas where further focus or investment may be needed to ensure all students have access to quality education.
In addition to the main report, the agency has published a Pocket Edition for 2024-25. This version consolidates statistics on student demographics as well as teacher and staff information into one accessible document.
Both the full 2025 Annual Report and the Pocket Edition are now available from the Texas Education Agency.
