The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has released guidance for consumers seeking health insurance coverage. Open enrollment for plans available through HealthCare.gov begins on November 1 and will run until January 15.

TDI encourages individuals to use its Health plan shopping checklist, which outlines important questions to consider when selecting a health plan that matches both needs and budget. The department also reminds Texans that assistance is available by calling TDI at 800-252-3439 or visiting their website at www.tdi.texas.gov.
