Juliamaria Calvo, Clinical Manager of Texas Children’s Kangaroo Crew, appeared on Univision to discuss the work of the hospital’s specialized transport team. Calvo explained that the Kangaroo Crew responds quickly to provide assistance to families and patients from Greater Houston, across Texas, and throughout the United States.

The team is responsible for transporting critically ill children who need urgent medical care at Texas Children’s Hospital. Calvo highlighted how the crew’s actions can make a difference for patients in need of immediate support. “Calvo shared the crew’s quick response to urgently offer help to families and patients from across Greater Houston, the state and nationwide.”

Texas Children’s Kangaroo Crew operates with specially trained staff and equipment designed for pediatric transport. Their work helps ensure that young patients have access to advanced care regardless of their location.
