The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $730,403 against 28 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions included agreed orders in categories such as air quality, Edwards Aquifer, industrial wastewater discharges, multi-media, municipal wastewater discharges, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, and water quality.
Additionally, default orders were issued for violations involving multi-media cases, municipal wastewater discharges, and public water systems.
On September 16 and September 23, the TCEQ executive director approved further penalties amounting to $107,083 against 31 entities.
