TCEQ approves nearly $1 million in penalties for environmental violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties amounting to $788,363 against 25 entities for violating state environmental regulations. These enforcement actions include agreed orders related to air quality, industrial wastewater discharges, multi-media violations, municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater discharges, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, and water quality.

Additionally, default orders were issued in two air quality cases.

On October 14, the executive director also approved penalties totaling $190,725 against 68 entities.
