IKEA U.S. has launched its first cross-brand retail experience in select Best Buy stores in Texas and Florida. The new initiative aims to make IKEA products and services more accessible and affordable for customers.

On November 5, 2025, IKEA South Austin at Best Buy opened a Plan and order point at 4970 W Highway 290, Austin, TX 78735. This partnership allows IKEA to offer kitchen planning services to a wider audience and enables customers to integrate Best Buy appliances into their IKEA kitchens.

The shop-in-shop format is staffed by IKEA employees who assist customers with designing their spaces. Shoppers can also purchase appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, and washer-dryers. The 1,000-square-foot showroom features kitchen and laundry room displays designed to inspire visitors.

According to the companies, “This innovative shared retail experience reflects both companies’ commitment to meeting customers where they are – offering well-designed home furnishing solutions and cutting-edge appliances in one convenient, collaborative retail experience.” Customers do not take home products directly; instead, they design their space with an IKEA associate and have furnishings shipped to their homes.

Other locations in Central Texas are also included in this initiative.
