The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) held its annual MNPL Conference in Savannah, Ga., on March 31. Approximately 300 IAM union members attended the event to receive updates from legislative leaders about upcoming political strategies ahead of the midterm elections.

The conference brought together union members who are involved in labor politics and fundraising efforts. Attendees discussed key issues facing workers and heard directly from lawmakers about potential policy changes that could impact their industries.

Following the conference, IAM delegates joined the No Kings rally and march through downtown Savannah. Participants used this opportunity to voice concerns regarding current presidential labor policies, which they criticized as unfavorable for workers.

The gathering highlighted ongoing efforts by organized labor to influence political decisions at both local and national levels. Events like these allow union members to organize collectively, share information, and make their voices heard on matters important to working people.

As midterm elections approach, IAM representatives say they will continue advocating for improved labor conditions and policies that support their membership.
