IAM retirees recently gathered at the IAM Retirees Conference to discuss their experiences and offer advice to current members. They reflected on their years of advocacy for dignity, fairness, and strong labor contracts.

During the event, retirees emphasized the importance of active participation within the union. Their central message was: “get involved, stay engaged, and keep organizing.” The conference provided a platform for sharing lessons learned over long careers as union members.

Retirees highlighted how ongoing involvement is essential to continue advancing workers’ rights and maintaining gains achieved through collective bargaining.
