Registration is now open for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training, which will be held from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The event is organized by the IAM Veteran Services Department. Members interested in participating must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.

The program aims to provide training on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits through sessions led by certified professionals. Upon completion of the course, participants will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team. This network supports IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to organizers, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

The call letter for this training includes information about tuition policies, transportation arrangements, and curriculum details.

Members can register using the Departmental Program Registration Form. For more information or questions regarding the program, individuals may contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
