IAM District 837 and Boeing Defense set to resume mediated talks Monday

IAM District 837 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) and Boeing Defense will resume contract negotiations on Monday. Both parties have agreed to meet with the assistance of a federal mediator.

In a statement released by IAM District 837, the union said: “The bargaining committees for Boeing and IAM 837 have agreed to return to negotiations on Monday with the help of a federal mediator in an effort to find a path to end the strike.”

IAM represents about 600,000 active and retired members in sectors including aerospace, defense, airlines, shipbuilding, rail, transit, healthcare, automotive, and other industries throughout North America.
