The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is reminding locals and districts that the deadline to order personalized bricks for the IAM Workers’ Memorial is Sunday, March 1, 2026. The memorial, located at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland, serves as a tribute to workers who have died or suffered injuries or illness due to their jobs.

Personalized bricks can be purchased by individuals or groups to honor fallen members. A standard brick with three lines of text (up to 20 characters per line) costs $100 and does not include a logo. For $125, buyers can add the IAM logo but are limited to 15 characters per line on three lines. An 8Ă—8 brick is available for $200; it allows for six lines of text without a logo or five lines with either the IAM logo or another preferred logo.

Additionally, commemorative tiles are offered for $10 as a way for supporters to show solidarity.

IAM provides complimentary bricks in memory of members who lost their lives due to work-related causes. Locals wishing to request such a brick must submit a completed order form.

The IAM Workers’ Memorial was completed in 2001 and features bricks inscribed with names of deceased members along with contributions from lodges and union members. Each year, a ceremony is held at the site to remember those lost and reaffirm efforts toward workplace safety. The date for this year’s ceremony will be announced soon.
