Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Wil Faubel, Stephanie Johnson, and Rick Mora, M.D. to the San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors. Their new terms will expire on October 16, 2029. The San Jacinto River Authority is responsible for developing, conserving, and protecting water resources in the San Jacinto River basin.

Wil Faubel of Montgomery continues his service on the board. He is currently the senior business development and corporate advisor at Novomet USA Inc., with over forty years in the oilfield services industry both domestically and internationally. Faubel is a lifelong member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and previously served on the board of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association. He also participates in the Lake Conroe Association. Faubel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Stephanie Johnson, also from Montgomery, is retired after a career in industrial engineering and operations with UPS. She previously worked as an executive search director at Richard, Wayne & Roberts. Johnson now serves as president of the Ladies Association of Walden, treasurer for Walden Section 5 Homeowners Association, secretary for Walden Community Improvement Association, act director with Walden Follies, and volunteers with Love Heals Youth and Walden Social Network. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University.

Rick Mora, M.D., from Spring is an anesthesiologist who works as a transitional medical director for Envision Health. He formerly served as chief of anesthesiology at Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands. Dr. Mora belongs to both state and national anesthesiology societies and was chair of the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He helped found Los Doctores de The Woodlands nonprofit organization. Dr. Mora received his undergraduate degree from University of California at Berkeley and his medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine; he is also a military veteran who served eight years in both Army National Guard and Texas National Guard.

The Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been recognized for its focus on job creation, economic opportunities, education enhancement, protection of individual liberties, parental empowerment in schooling decisions, and border security according to its official website.
