Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Summer Webb and reappointed Aimee Burnett and Sonja Clark to the Aerospace and Aviation Advisory Committee. Their terms will last until September 1, 2029. The committee supports Texas’s economic development by helping to attract and keep aerospace and aviation jobs and investments in the state.

Summer Webb, from Valentine, serves as deputy director of Launch Site One and is the Government Relations Director for Blue Origin in Texas. She is also Mayor of Valentine, represents rural communities with the Rio Grande Council of Governments, and is a member of West of the Pecos Texas Cattlewoman. Webb holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from The University of Texas at El Paso.

Aimee Burnett, based in Southlake, is vice president of F-35 Business Development at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. She has worked for Lockheed Martin for over 24 years in roles related to engineering, operations, and business development. Burnett serves on the Executive Board for Southern Methodist University’s Lyle School of Engineering and is a board member at the World Affairs Council Dallas/Fort Worth. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from SMU.

Sonja Clark from Amarillo leads Bell Textron’s Military and Commercial Aircraft Assembly and Delivery Center. Before joining aerospace in 2006, she worked as a registered nurse and administrator. Since then, she has held leadership positions in environmental health & safety, human resources, and integrated operations within Bell Textron. Clark sits on several boards including those for Amarillo Area Foundation, WTAMU Foundation, Texas Association of Community Colleges, Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, High Plains Food Bank, and Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health. She previously served as president of Panhandle Texas Nurses Association and chaired the Northwest Texas Healthcare System board. Clark received both her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing administration from West Texas A&M University.
