Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Tami Pierce to serve as judge of the 180th Judicial District Court in Harris County. Her term will last until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Pierce is an attorney based in Humble and owns the Pierce Law Firm in Kingwood. She has previously worked as an assistant district attorney in Polk, San Jacinto, and Liberty counties. She holds memberships with the Texas State Bar, American Bar Association, and Texas Bar Association. Pierce earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northeast Louisiana University and received her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
