Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Scott Olguin to the Texas Real Estate Commission. Olguin’s term will run until January 31, 2031. The commission is responsible for protecting the public in transactions involving real estate brokers and salespersons.

Olguin is vice president at Dimensional Fund Advisors and has a background in public service. He previously worked as a firefighter with the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department and served as director for the Central Texas Electric Cooperative. Additionally, he served in the Texas State Guard and was honorably discharged in 2010.
