Governor Abbott appoints Paloma Ahmadi to TSU Board of Regents

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Paloma Ahmadi to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents. Her term will run until February 1, 2029.

Ahmadi is the general counsel at Athena and serves as an advisor to WorkWhile. She has previously held senior legal roles at Brex Inc., Haynes and Boone LLP, and Major League Baseball. Her professional experience also includes work at Ahmad Zavitsanos Anaipakos and Kirkland Ellis LLP.

She is a current member of both the State Bar of Texas and the New York State Bar Association, and is an inactive member of the Washington D.C. Bar. Ahmadi also serves on the Texas Workforce Investment Council and was formerly a board member for Dress for Success San Antonio.

Ahmadi earned her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College and her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
