Governor Abbott appoints new members to Texas Board of Criminal Justice

This week, Governor Greg Abbott announced several appointments to state positions. Martin Garza has been appointed to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice, while Faith Johnson and Sichan Siv have been reappointed. Their terms will expire on February 1, 2031. The Board is responsible for overseeing the confinement, supervision, rehabilitation, and reintegration of convicted felons in Texas.

Governor Abbott’s office operates from its main offices in Austin at the State Insurance Building and delivers services across the state of Texas. Since his election in 2014, Greg Abbott has led the governor’s office with a focus on job creation, economic opportunities, education enhancement, protection of individual liberties, parental empowerment in schooling, and southern border security.
