Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marsha Moberley to the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision. Her term will last at the Governor’s discretion. The Commission is responsible for creating uniform procedures that oversee the transfer of offenders between states when they are placed under community supervision or released into communities by courts, paroling authorities, or other criminal justice agencies.
Moberley lives in Lakeway and serves as board chair and former commissioner of the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. She brings over 28 years of experience in criminal justice. Previously, she was Chief Probation Officer for Deaf Smith and Oldham counties. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Association of Paroling Authorities International and the American Probation and Parole Association. Moberley also served as chair of both the Advisory Board of the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission and the Panhandle Chief Probation Officers Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University.
