Governor Abbott appoints Marco Trevino to state board overseeing social workers

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marco Trevino to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Trevino’s term will run until February 1, 2029. The board oversees the regulation of social work practice in Texas.

Marco Trevino, who lives in Edinburg, works as a licensed clinical social worker at Alivio Counseling Services, P.C. He serves as board president for the Community Council of the Rio Grande Valley and is also involved with the National Association of Social Workers and the American Red Cross. Trevino earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in social work from the University of Texas – Pan American.
