Marks is a housing consultant for Solitaire Homes of Lufkin and holds a license from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs as a manufactured homes sales consultant. Additionally, he is involved with several local organizations including the Lufkin Lions Club, Nacogdoches Jaycees, and both Angelina and Nacogdoches County Chambers of Commerce. Marks also served four years in the Texas Army National Guard.
