Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Brady Franks to the Texas Water Development Board. Franks will serve a term ending on February 1, 2031. The Board is responsible for leadership, planning, and providing financial and technical support for water development across Texas.

Franks is currently the State Budget Director in the Office of the Governor. His previous experience includes serving as co-founder and chief executive of MF Advisors, director of government relations at the University of Texas at Austin, and working in various roles within the Texas House of Representatives for ten years. These roles included Senior Budget and Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the House.

Franks holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government, a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning, and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.
