Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention serves as a gathering point for trade unionists nationwide to discuss important labor topics. At last year’s convention, IAM members participated in workshops covering organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power, and exchanging strategies to enhance both their union and the broader labor movement.

A special group room rate of $185 per night plus taxes is available for attendees at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The deadline to reserve rooms at this rate is April 24, 2026. A one-night credit card deposit is required when booking; this deposit can be refunded if canceled by April 15, 2026. After April 24, reservations will depend on availability and may be subject to higher rates.

Hotel reservations are encouraged through the official CBTU booking link. Alternatively, IAM members can make reservations by calling 1-877-803-7534 and referencing CBTU, though online booking remains preferred.
