Investments in family-friendly policies are showing positive effects on employee retention, recruitment, and productivity, according to the Austin Chamber of Commerce. The organization, working with United Way for Greater Austin and Early Matters Greater Austin, has introduced the Best Place for Working Parents category as part of the Greater Austin Business Awards.

The new designation aims to highlight organizations that support families while building more resilient and competitive businesses. According to the announcement, “The four companies below are leading the way in prioritizing working parents through policy and culture that translate into measurable success and raise the bar for employers across the region.”

This year’s honored companies have demonstrated several outcomes: “Stronger employee retention; Improved recruitment outcomes; Higher morale and company loyalty; Increased productivity; A more inclusive, people-centered workplace culture.”

As the region continues to grow, these employers are cited as examples of how business success can align with family well-being. The initiative also provides resources for organizations interested in being recognized as a Best Place for Working Parents or learning more about family-friendly policies through Early Matters Greater Austin.

The Austin Chamber of Commerce supports economic development by fostering community collaboration and promoting partnerships designed to help businesses thrive. It delivers value through events, programs, advocacy efforts, and leadership initiatives focused on innovation and economic trends. The Chamber also promotes inclusive growth throughout neighborhoods in the area.

More information about these efforts is available on the official website.
