Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is organizing its second annual Runway to Opportunities event, aimed at connecting prime contractors with businesses interested in participating in airport construction projects. The event supports the Journey With AUS airport expansion program.

Runway to Opportunities is structured to help subcontractors learn how to engage with the airport’s large-scale construction initiatives and build relationships with leading contractors involved in these projects. Attendees will receive presentations from prime firms currently working on major developments at the airport, updates on ongoing and future construction activities, and insights into the broader direction of the expansion program. Practical guidance will also be provided on conducting business with both the City of Austin and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, assisting companies in understanding procedures and expectations.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA), located at 3100 Alvin Devane Blvd, Building B, Austin, TX 78741.

Prime contractors participating include Austin Commercial, Hensel Phelps, JE Dunn, and Sundt / Archer Western. In addition to educational sessions, there will be networking opportunities for subcontractors to ask questions and explore potential collaborations that could lead to future work on airport projects.

“Runway to Opportunities is designed to help subcontractors better understand how to engage with the airport’s large-scale construction program while building direct relationships with the prime contractors delivering this work. Attendees can expect presentations from prime firms currently working on major airport projects, an update on ongoing and upcoming airport construction activity, and insights into the overall direction of the Journey With AUS expansion. The event will also include practical guidance on doing business with both the City of Austin and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, helping firms navigate processes, expectations, and opportunities more effectively.”
