Governor Greg Abbott has named Joshlin “Josh” Lewis and Michael Lucci to the Texas Advisory Committee on Geopolitical Conflict. Their terms will last until September 1, 2027. The committee’s purpose is to develop strategies and policies for state security before a geopolitical conflict occurs and to gather information that would help improve Texas’ command-and-control operations in such an event.

Joshlin “Josh” Lewis, from Ovilla, currently serves as senior director of network quality at Optimum. He has also been a member of the United States Air Force since 1999. His professional affiliations include the National Guard Association of Texas, the National Guard Association of the United States, and the International Information System Security Certification Consortium. In addition to his work, he volunteers as a small group leader at Midlothian Bible Church. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, and a National Security Management Certification from Syracuse University.

Michael Lucci, based in Leander, is chief executive officer of State Armor Research and State Armor Action. He previously served as chairman of the board for Chicago Virtual Charter School. Lucci earned his Bachelor of Arts in Honors Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.
